Code Queen
Code Queen Program is an initiative designed to empower young women and girls with digital and coding skills, bridging the gender gap in the tech industry. The program focuses on hands-on training in areas like web development, mobile app creation, data science, and robotics, while also offering mentorship, career guidance, and exposure to tech opportunities.
By nurturing creativity and confidence in a supportive environment, Code Queen equips participants to build tech solutions, pursue STEM careers, and become active contributors to the digital economy. It also promotes female representation in ICT, tackling social norms that often discourage girls from entering technology fields.
Ultimately, the Code Queen Program is more than just coding, it’s about inspiring a generation of female tech leaders and innovators.

Edutech
EduTech Program is a transformative initiative aimed at integrating technology into education to enhance teaching, learning, and digital literacy among students and educators. The program focuses on equipping schools and learning institutions with digital tools, training teachers in modern pedagogies, and empowering learners with 21st-century skills such as coding, robotics, digital storytelling, and online research.
Through EduTech, education becomes more inclusive, engaging, and aligned with global trends, preparing students to thrive in a digital economy. It also bridges the digital divide by ensuring that underserved schools and communities have access to quality, tech-enabled education.
Whether through e-learning platforms, virtual labs, or smart classroom setups, the EduTech Program drives innovation in education, fostering a generation of digitally skilled, problem-solving, and future-ready learners.

Girls For Girls (G4G)
Girls for Girls (G4G) Uganda is a mentorship and leadership initiative that empowers girls and young women to become confident, purpose-driven leaders. Launched in 2017, the program connects schoolgirls, university students, and young professionals with female mentors across sectors like STEM, law, banking, and education.
Through mentorship circles, leadership training, and storytelling, G4G equips participants with the skills and confidence to pursue their goals, challenge stereotypes, and contribute to their communities. It has reached thousands of girls across Uganda through both in-person and virtual sessions in partnership with organizations like Airtel and UNICEF.

Data Ladies
The National ICT Innovation Hub in partnership with Pollicy has created a platform for women data enthusiasts who are looking to achieve their goals. This project provides a platform for women from diverse backgrounds, including government, civil society, academia and private sector to network, share insights & collaborate on data-driven projects.

UJ-Connect Business Matching
The UJ-Connect Business Matching Program is an initiative under the UJ-Connect Project by the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance and JICA. It links Ugandan ICT companies with Japanese firms to explore partnerships, technology transfer, and investment opportunities. Through curated business meetings and the upcoming BizLink platform, the program aims to boost job creation, market access, and international collaboration for Uganda’s tech sector.
The UJ Connect Project continues to position Uganda as a rising force in the global innovation landscape. By building strategic linkages with Japan, the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance is unlocking new opportunities for Ugandan startups to co-create, scale, and export digital solutions.
